Paige Hetherington, L.Ac. graduated with honors from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA.  She is also a National Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.  She was trained as an Ashtanga yoga instructor and has studied herbal medicine and alternative healing since 1996.

Paige's interest in natural medicine was sparked on a trip to Central America where she observed that the majority of community healthcare was provided by energy healers using resources from the natural environment.  After fininshing her undergraduate studies at Cornell University in New York, she obtained grants to document plants used by traditional healers in tropical forests in Central America and the Eastern Carribean.  Upon completion she sought out the Chinese system as a paradigm to use for accurately diagnosing and applying the skills she had gathered in her travels.  She found that Traditional Oriental Medicine used observances from nature to understand the human form; inferences much aligned with her previous training.  It is from this myriad of experiences that she draws upon to treat her patients today.
